Interior Design School

Tuesday, November 24th, 2009

I’m of the opinion that since I used to be a young kid I totally adored helping my ma decorate the house. It may appear unusual to you, for me it was simply a natural step. For this reason it’s no surprise to me my folks or anyone that knew me that I eventually made a decision to go to an interior design school at the age of eighteen, as quickly as I graduated from high-school.

Interior design faculties were my destiny, and that’s that.

Sadly, I was so excited about going to interior design schools, that I had never worried to stop and think about which one was the best, and which one may not give me exactly the same education.

Because of this, I was sorely unhappy by the 1st interior design school that I attempted. In truth, I had to try 3 or 4 different interior design faculties before I really found one with the program that gave me what I required for a successful career as an interior designer.

Interior design schools, you see, aren’t like schools. With ordinary four-year varsities, there are all types of sources to show you what program offers what, and which is probably going to give you the best education in your selected field. But with schools of interior design, you are typically on your own to discover where to go to get the coaching that you wish. They’re usually judged by the results that they produce. Universities of interior design, and their relative merits, aren’t famous by most clients, so if you do work the customer likes that’s often enough to earn their respect.

What might take you a couple of months to learn under a good teacher at one of the finest interior design faculties will take you years to learn on your own, so it is to your benefit to find the best program for you.
